Jan 12th: I started creating the monster. I have started previously, but all attempts failed. For this one, I decided to hollow it out first and create it more rigidly and connected. Hopefully it survives.
Jan 14th. I created teeth and fixed its eyeballs. I spent most of the time fixing its shape so it is more natural. I had to put a small piece in the middle to hold it up because it is too hollow. but in the end, this is a better problem as it still has shape.

Jan 16th. I gave him spikes and spent some time fixing up his shape to resemble the picture. It was quite difficult stopping him from melting away as he is too wet. But a good day nonetheless.
Jan 21th. I underglazed the monster and added some more details. He now has a nose, better eyes, and a large booger. I need to underglaze it more, especially on the back.

Jan 23th. I underglazed his teeth and added the black spots with more detail. The back also has more detail and spots with white and black. It is now ready to be fired. Afterwards, I will clear glaze it.

28th. While I wait for my monster to be fired, I started the alebrijes. It is an ant on a hill, sort of like an ant hill. I only have the body so far but it was rather hard getting the porportions right.

Jan 30th. I added a lot of detail to the ant, including legs. I had to redo some of the legs a lot because they kept breaking due to how thin they are. Next, I wish to give him pinchers. I also need to hollow out the hill before it gets too late.
Feb 4th. I finished the legs and gave the man antenas. The antenas were extremely diffuclt to look good while being thin. But in the end it did quite well. I also hollowed out the hill so it is ready to be fired.

Feb 6th. I decided to make a coffin for my lidded box. I want to make ornate designs across it, but today I just got the shape completed. It took a while to make the edges sharp and defined and coffin-like. However, much to my utter horror and dismay, the coffin was gone the next week. Whether someone through it away or not, I am enraged.
Feb 11th. I decided to remake my coffin and was able to add a bit more detail. I got the shape much quicker this time and started carving a sword on the top of it by adding layers of clay and carving away from it. It turned out much better than I expected. I plan on adding much more detail to the sides and on top of it. I'm thinking victorian style.
My anger is immense. The coffin has vanished once again. How could someone destroy such a magnificent creation as my coffin. Shame on whoever's tarnished and decrepit soul did this.

Feb 13th. I have given up on making a beautiful coffin. I will never forget the tragedy, but its time to move on. I decided to clear glaze my monster to finish it. Put many layers on this bad boy. Soon it will be as shiny as a melting popsical on a boiling summer noon.
Afterward, I had some time so I wanted to start a mug. I created the overall shape but didn't have enough time to fully shape it.

Feb 27th. I took a lot of time on smoothing out the details. I had to redo the nose twice due to difficulty on size. I also added lips and hollowed it out. It is now ready to be fired. I plan on eventually glazing it black and purple once I get the time.
Feb 25th. After break, I decided to create a face. I wanted to make a rather scary man. I created the rough shape first, and then I started shaping bones and the mouth. I also tried to give him forhead wrinkles which worked rather well. I still need to hollow it out and add a bunch of detail. Specifically, the nose looks horrible currently.

March 4th. I decided to create another face. Specifically, King Von for my bust. I started with the overall shape of a head and neck. It is actually extremely difficult to get right, and I am not happy with my creation whatsoever. I will probably throw this away. I am very deterred from people right now,

March 6th. I am unsure why I was so unpreductive today. Perhaps it was just a very sad and desolate day. I wanted to create something new; a knight stabbing another knight on a battlefield. Evidently, I did not get very far in my vision. I will also probably throw this away. It disgusts me to look at it.
March 9th. It is time for a beautiful bowl. I have never created an actual beautiful bowl. I am determined now. I am using a water bowl for the shape and started carving vicotrian style decorations in it. It is my peublo style bowl. This one will be complete.

March 11th. All I did today was carve more designs. It is quite hard and timely to carve such specfic lines. I had to restart some parts a few times and get the dementsions right. But I have very happy with the progress on my bowl today. It will be good.

March 20th: Since there were no gold under glaze, I had to mix saffron yellow, red, and a little bit of black. I am very pleased with how it looks. I am also using purple on certain parts of the houses. I will paint all the background black, including the outside of the bowl.

March 27th: Much to my dismay, I do not have a proper picture of what I did this day. I painted the entire back black and added more to the fences. I also had to carve the lips of the bowl so they are more round and flow better. Some sides were larger than others. This bowl is finally ready for firing.

April 20th: I added quite a bit of detail to my foot for it to look much more realistic. I am very happy with how the toes and nails turned out. They look quite realistic. I also started creating a fish from Invincible. It is very difficult to get the legs crossed in a natural way that actually looks like a human's legs. I hope I am able to add more detail and porportions the next few days. It's surprising how diffuclt something so simple can be.

April 29th: My fish has seemed to disappear into the void. I am not too bummed about it because over the past few days, I have decided I want to make something useful anyway. This is the start of my final: A beautiful collection of roots turning into a hollow trunk that will be used for carrots!! The roots don't have all that much shape right now, but not to worry. I have so much hope for this
March 18th: I added A handle to my beautiful bowl. I didn't worry too much about how it looked as I was more focused on the carving. Before under glazing it, I had to go over all the lines to make sure its deep enough and indented properly. You can't really see it but it took a long time and up close looks much better.

March 25th: I did a lot of painting. I finished the background on the front of the bowl and added more gold to the buildings and the fences. It takes a considerable amount of time to paint it accurately as to not mix any together. I really hope this turns out well because I have spent so long on it. I havn't even painted the backside yet.

April 17th Now that my bowl is done, it is time for me to expand my horizons. At first, I wanted to make a castle, but after seeing how ugly and monstrous it is, I decided to create a sculpture with foot project for unit 5. I started by creating a pretty good foot with proper size. I am very proud of getting the proportions correct. It turned out well so far.

April 22nd: Most of my time was spent shaping more of my fish creature. It has much more humanlike shape to it and the legs especialy look much better. I had to redo one of the legs entirely due to its porportions being off and being too dry. I still have a lot of work to do on the arms and head, but hopefully it won't be that bad. I also turned my foot creature into a wizard. I really like the whimiscale and simple nature of this creation.

May 13th: I have added a beautiful trunk. Somehow I created this much quicker than everything else I've done, and it looks better. I am very proud of the details such as the cracks and crevicees. The picture makes it look disprotportnae, but it looks perfect in real life. This will be a great themed platter. It was quite difficult getting a good circular shape on the trunk, and it is still slightly off, but it's good enough. I also glazed my screaming face as I am using that for the music and art festival.

May 1st: I spent a lot of time makeing bigger roots and having them spread out. It may have taken a long time, but I really like how the roots are looking now. They have a very powerful structure, and soon, a very powerful trunk.

May 15th: While I wait for my final to fire so I can glaze it, I have decided to create Thrag from incvincible. I have started just on the body and will expand outwarts. I think I did a good job shaping the pectoral muscles. I need to smooth out the abs way more and ad obliques as well. It is not horrible but not as good as I want.
May 20th onward. I got super sick this week and wasn't there any day, sadly. I am very sad, I was unable to work on Thrag as I will have only a day or two after this week to work on it. It is ok though, as long as I am able to finish my final. I am not too invested in Thrag.

May 18th: this short day I just started glazing my final. I am doing a lot of brown on the rootws and will do deep brown going up to the trunk. I also want to add sap, even though it is unrealistic, because it would look cool.

May 27th: I finished glazing my trunk. I was able to add sap to the crevices and cracks. I really hope the sap turns out well and is a good color. I mixed some red, yellow, and blue to try to create a good, rich sap color. It is hard to tell before it is fired, but I think it will turn out well. I was also able to add deeper brown for some texture. I am happy with how this final will turn out.
