this is my pinch pot turned into something useful for unit 2. I carved it into a pot for plants. I then carved R2D2 on it because it looked super cool. After it when in the kiln, I never saw it again so I am assuming it exploded. Sadly, I will never see it again.
This my choice project for unit 2. I created a ti fighter from star wars. I underglazed it and planned to glaze it after it was fired; however, it fell apart in the kiln and I had to scrap it. I thought I built it strong enough but suppossedly not.
This is my historically inspired piece. This depicts Jesus's resurrection. I sculpted the cave and Jesus coming out. I used crystal glaze and I think it turned out relatively well. I would have liked to glaze the inside but I for some reason did not.
This is my small animal sculpture. It is an armidillo. It fell apart the next day due to impropper slipping and scoring. I decided not to redo it and move on something more interesting. This is as far as I made it.
This is my two pinch pots stuck together. I decided to turn it into an egg with a crack in the back. I molded a turtle coming out of the egg. I then glazed the outside white and the turtle purple. This is one of the better things I have created.
This R2D2 carving was going to be my mini masterpiece. I planned to paint and glaze so it looked better. Sadly, when I lost the pot, I was never able to glaze it. I did think it was a great carving, very sad to see it gone.
